Seat booking
Seat reservation for package tours:
You can reserve your seats on the plane for a Vakanz, Excellence or Happy Summer package free of charge for several seating categories until 50 hours prior to departure and subject to availability :
• Excellence: seat categories «Extra Leg space» (for Dubai only available via Customer Service Center), «Front» and «Standard» as well as “Comfort Class” available only on some flights and which is composed of 12 real business class seats located in the first rows of the plane.
• Vakanz (except Cascais, Usedom and Lido di Jesolo) : seat categories «Front» and «Standard»
• Happy Summer (except Cascais, Usedom and Lido di Jesolo): seat category «Standard»
For all other packages or if you would like to book another seat category that is for free in your booked package, you can book it by paying for this category. The price per person and flight is as follows:
• 14,- € for Standard category (row 11 to last row)
• 19,- € for Front category (2nd row to 10th row)
• 25,- € or 50,- € (for flights to the Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands, Funchal (Madeira), Dakar, Egypt, and Dubai) for Extra Leg Space category (1st row and EXIT)
• 50,- € or 150,- € (for flights to the Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands, Funchal (Madeira), Dakar and Egypt) for “Comfort Class” available only on some flights and which is composed of 12 real business class seats located in the first rows of the plane.

Less than 50 hours prior to departure, the reservation has exclusively been done by self-check-in and has to be paid then for all seat categories and packages.
Please note that the following passengers are not allowed to be seated at the emergency exits:
- infants and children under 12
- passengers accompanying infants and children under 12
- passengers traveling with animals in the cabin
- pregnant women
- people with reduced mobility
- passengers whose mobility is reduced owing to their weight, their age, or an illness
Passengers seated at the emergency exits must speak and understand either English, French, German or Luxembourgish and may have to assist the crew in case of an emergency.
For safety reasons, check-in and crew staff must check whether passengers seated near the emergency exits meet the above conditions.
Therefore, Luxair reserves the right to allocate another seat to passengers if required by the safety regulations.
The modification and cancellation of places done by the customer will not give rise to any reimbursement and, in principle, are not covered by the optional insurance packages (please consult your insurance conditions).
Book a special meal
Book delicious meals specially developed for you and for your children. Make your flight even more enjoyable and treat yourself by discovering our new selection of gourmet special meals, each of which was designed for you with the utmost care by our Chefs. The special meals will replace the standard menu served on board your LuxairTours flight. Please note that an additional fee will be charged in economy class.
Remember to place your meal order until 72hrs before your flight. To delight and surprise their children, parents have a choice between the Baby meal (0-2 years old) or the Kids' meal (2-11 years old) which are both provided free of charge. As this choice is not automatic, please be sure to select the meal accordingly.
With your LuxairTours package, you are entitled to order special meals. You may simply use the link which appears on your e-confirmation or contact your travel agency.

Luxembourg Airport Experience
At Luxembourg airport, LuxairTours provides you all necessary services ensuring you a smooth travel experience. With this option, you will be granted an access to the Business check-in counters, to the fast lane and to Luxair Lounge.
This option is bookable for all our packages (except to Dubai, Cascais, Lido di Jesolo and for Holidays à la carte).

Travel insurance

We offer two types of insurance:
- Cancellation insurance
- Travel insurance
Insurance policies can be added (separately or together) when booking your holiday or up to 14 days after the booking date. For short-term registrations (at least 30 days prior to the date of departure), the travel insurance must be taken out on the day of reservation.
Insurance policies may not be cancelled, modified or transferred.
