Dubai's breathtaking attractions, such as the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain, captivate visitors from all over the world. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi the majestic capital of the UAE, shares many of the same features but has its own unique character which is sure to amaze. Both cities have retained some of their traditional character, and you'll find neighbourhoods that give a more authentic picture of the local culture. An immense desert landscape stretches all around the skylines of both cities – a striking backdrop for these luxurious metropolises with so much to offer!

Abou Dhabi

The majestic capital of the Emirates

Abu Dhabi is the largest emirate in the United Arab Emirates and is made up of three main regions – the eastern region of Al Ain, the western region of Al Dhafra and the capital, Abu Dhabi City, and its surrounding area, which bears the same name as the emirate itself and is a major cultural and commercial centre in the Persian Gulf. The first image that springs to mind when the name Abu Dhabi is mentioned is of a dynamic city, lined with skyscrapers and other ultra-modern buildings, but it also has so much more than this to offer! The city is bursting with activities and places to be discovered, from iconic monuments to cultural and historical sites and incredible attractions, so a holiday in the capital of the Emirates is sure to be a unique experience!

Must-do & Must-see - our suggestions

Must-do

  • If you're not afraid of heights, lift your taste buds off the ground with the unique Dinner in the Sky dining experience. Enjoy a luxurious meal 50 metres above the ground and take in the breathtaking view of the city! Dinner cruises are also a must, especially on dhows, the traditional Arab sailing boats.
  • Spend a fun-filled day at the world's largest water park, Aquaventure, for a thrilling and refreshing experience. It boasts over a hundred water slides, a kilometre-long beach and many other spectacular attractions.
  • Shopping is an activity in its own right in the United Arab Emirates, especially at the Dubai Mall, the largest shopping centre in the world, covering over a million square metres. With more than 1,200 shops and, more surprisingly, an ice rink and an aquarium, the Dubai Mall takes shopping to the next level.

Must-see

  • The landscape of this city is shaped by ultra-modern buildings and excess is everywhere you look. Raise your eyes to the sky and admire the grandiose skyscrapers: you won't want to miss the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest man-made structure ever built, and the majestic Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi!
  • The famous Dubai Fountain show, with its light shows and huge water jets, is a must-see. The dancing water fountains also hold the record for the largest choreographed fountain complex in the world.
  • Dubai and Abu Dhabi are even more impressive from the sky! Opt for a helicopter tour, try out parachute jumping or ride the XLine, the world's highest and fastest urban zip line, to see the city from a completely different perspective and get your fill of thrills.

  • Greetings :The men shake hands. Men and women do not touch each other.
  • Couples: Presenting two passports with different names at the reception is generally not a problem, but it is better to talk about your "husband" or "wife" rather than your "partner" or "fiancé(e)"... Unmarried couples are theoretically not allowed to share a room.
