•    Wander through the vibrant Mercado Central to sample regional delicacies, from turrón to salted fish, and enjoy the energetic rhythm of local life.

Must-see 
•    Take a boat trip to Tabarca Island, a small marine reserve with turquoise waters, whitewashed houses, and some of the best snorkelling in the region. 
•    Stroll along the iconic Explanada de España, a palm-lined promenade with a wave-patterned mosaic of 6 million tiles — ideal for an evening paseo. 
•    Visit the Archaeological Museum of Alicante (MARQ), where interactive exhibits trace the region’s past from prehistory to the Roman and medieval eras.
