Sunny Beach

The charming little village of Aheloy, halfway between Bourgas and Nessebar, is best known for its orchards and vineyards. Tourist facilities are located on the outskirts, along the sea. Pomorie
The seaside town of Pomorie is renowned for its excellent wine and mud baths, which are particularly recommended for those who suffer from rheumatism. In the town centre there are a number of authentic bistros serving local wine, as well as small, friendly cafés. - The picturesque town of Nessebar is one of the oldest in Europe. Take a stroll through this UNESCO World Heritage Site to discover its rich and fascinating history. Nessbar boasts the highest concentration of Byzantine architecture in Bulgaria, not to mention a host of other monuments and churches, some more than seven centuries old.
- Visit one of Bulgaria's many monasteries, such as Sveti Georgi near Pomorie, where three monks still live today. Its 18th-century abbey is home to classical artefacts of considerable artistic value and is well worth a visit.

You will pass through Bourgas, the country's 4th largest city, and a number of small villages, to get to Sozopol, which is one of the oldest settlements on the shores of the Black Sea. Despite its turbulent past, Sozopol has retained its traditional charm. More than 80 of its houses are listed as heritage sites, and the town attracts many painters and actors every summer.
This ancient fishing town is a real gem as it overlooks the sea from the rocky peninsula on which it stands. The heart of the city is classed as historic and architectural heritage and abounds with little cobbled streets that lead to small medieval churches, allowing you to admire the typical wooden houses whose courtyards are dotted with colourful flowers. You'll also be able to explore the city from a different perspective by taking a little boat trip from Sozopol. The programme then includes a guided tour of the old town followed by some free time and lunch at a traditional restaurant where you can enjoy the view of the St. Ivan island from a beautiful terrace.
