Must-do & Must-see - our suggestion


  • Discover the Scandola nature reserve onboard your kayak (the reserve is only accessible by boat) to enjoy the beauty of the landscape.
  • Head to l’Uomo di Cagna which culminates to 1200 meters. From the valley, the giant made of stones seems to watch over the coastline. From Monaccia d’Aullène, you will need approximately 4 to 5 hours to reach the summit to appreciate the stunning view over Figari Bay, over the mouths of Bonifacio and over Sardinia.
  • Board the old train which goes along the coast from Calvi to Ile Rousse. You will enjoy bucolic landscapes through the window while listening to the driver telling stories about the region.
  • Take a tour through the vineyard of Patrimonio which criss-crosses Cap Corse from Bastia to Saint-Florent. Take some time to admire the wonderful scenery, sit down and enjoy some local specialties accompanied with Patrimonio wine.



  • You like unspoilt nature and crystal-clear water? Then you should head to Lavezzi Islands. This uninhabited archipelago offers wide hiking and swimming possibilities in a heavenly setting.
  • Located about fifteen kilometres from Propriano, Sartène is well worth a visit and exudes authenticity with its stone houses and narrow streets. Prosper Mérimée once described it as "the most Corsican of all Corsican towns".
  • To soak up the atmosphere of Bastia, take a stroll along the old port and visit the museum which highlights the history of the town. It is located in the former governor's palace, whose gardens offer exceptional views of the city and the Cap Corse.
  • Like Calenzana, Sant'Antonino, Montemagtiore, many villages in Balagne offer splendid views of the region and highlight the historical heritage and Corsican craft skills.
